After a couple of years of the Heller Awards for Young Artists (HAYA) unable to happen in person, they are finally back! The Hays Legacy Players fall musical, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, was nominated for 8 Heller awards this year.

These nominations include Best Production, Best Direction, Best Ensemble, Best Choreography, Best Costume Design, Featured Performer: Allie Meredith, Male Lead: Tate Kirschner, and Male Lead: Tristan Stewart. The Legacy Players were invited to perform at HAYA for their Best Production nomination where they preformed in front of almost 3 thousand people! After a long night of awards and live theatre, they came home with 1 award, Featured Performer: Allie Meredith.

Allie said, “Winning Best Featured Performer was such a surreal experience! I felt like all of my hard work had paid off and I was able to prove myself that nothing is impossible and that if I want something, all I have to do is reach for it!”

They are so proud of all of their accomplishments and success this year and cant wait to do even better in the coming years.
