Are you searching for thrills by day and chills by night, then Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the location for you. To celebrate the Halloween season the park puts up an event called Fright Fest. This event is filled with ghouls, goblins, haunted houses, and spooky snacks and drinks.

“The Unleashing” starts off the event with a short theatrical performance that leads to all of the monsters running out into the crowd. Seeing the creatures and hearing the screams of the crowd sets the mood for the rest of the night. There was a pretty big crowd for the opening night, most of which were teenagers.

This Six Flags has been doing Fright Fest for the past 26 years so they really know how to scare. There are two main ways to experience a fright and they are haunted houses and scare zones. A haunted house is exactly what you think it is, a 2-3 minute journey through a chilling storyline filled with jumpscares and haunting visuals. Scare zones are similar to a haunted house, but they are out in the open. Creatures and props fill up a certain area of the park and it is free range for the actors. You can be chased or followed through fog-filled streets and crowds.

If being scared isn’t for you then there are many shows and lots of fun themed foods and drinks for you to try. Before the event there is also a kids’ trick or treat around the park with the Looney Tunes characters. But this is definitely the place to go when wanting a good scream. It is a fun experience to go to with friends and family to get into then Halloween spirit.
