Fountain favorites

Rating all the water fountains in the school.

Kyler Halenza and Graciella Gonzales

Everyone gets thirsty, but only a select few know which are the best fountains. If you want to know what water will bring hydration AND possibly clear skin, read on.

Starting off with a rare find, the E building fountains. The ranking for the two fountains averages out to about a 5. It’s unknown whether or not the red flashing filter light indicates that tadpoles will make their way out of this fountain. The water maybe be cold but it coats the throat in a strange film and drinking it feels like getting waterboarded in the Schlitterbahn wave pool.

Next up, C building. Downstairs c produced water that was kinda scrumptious, but not Starbucks water status. It was soft, airy, cold, and smooth. Now upstairs on the other hand was horrendous. Upon arrival at the mouth, the warm, filtered water was spit out. This water was uncanny to taking a big gulp of your own warm bath water. Enough said.

Altogether, the math fountains in A building were a solid 7. The 1st and 3rd fountains starting from the right that we tried were fine. They were cold, but the stream was a little low. The 2nd and 4th fountains were warm and also had a low stream.

The main hall had two broken fountains, but the other working two produced cold, smooth, and luxurious water. Although it does make weird sounds and is low, it is easily accessible and not the worst.

Most of the upstairs fountains don’t work and if they do they’re warm.

Now for the holy trinity. One of the fountains nearest to the snack shack is one of the best sips you’ll ever have. That water will have you falling on the floor, shaking and crying, feeling like life is complete. In the words of Julia Perez(10), “Very good, mmm.” While no fountain beats the snack shack fountain, the group of four across from the counselors are consecutively the best. All four provide a high stream of decently cold and smooth water.
