When people hear BTS and ARMY they assume the band and their fans, but that is not the case anymore.

Under South Korea’s conscription system, the country requires all able-bodied men to serve at least 18 months in the armed forces by age 28, due to ongoing threats from North Korea.

Members of the band will be following their military service, starting with Jin. Hearing that they would be serving was a devastating shock to many fans because the group will have to be on a hiatus.

Not only will the group be taking a break but there will also be a danger risk. After all they are serving in the military so anything can happen.

The mix of military service and solo careers has lead fans to predict that they will not be a full band again until 2025. For many fans this will feel like a lifetime until they can hear them as a group once again. So let’s hope that all the members stay safe and keep their creativity and passion for music.
