On Friday, October 14th the Hays vs Seguin, “Launch the Matadors out of this world” played against each other.

The Hays Hawks and Seguin Matadors were tied 34-34 following a last minute touchdown from Hays.

A first-time kicker attempted a 47-yard field goal that missed. As the clock began to run out there was time for one final play, .3 seconds left on the clock when Seguin’s receiver rushed the ball down 71 yards, passing all of our lead blockers and defensive lines.

Everyone in the student section was grief-stricken as they watched Seguin run down the majority of the field without a stop.

Hays lost to Seguin 34-41 with a new record 5 wins and 2 losses, while Seguin is undefeated.
