The 2023 Grammys started off the year with internet drama. From people getting “scammed” of their well-deserved award to a performance choreographed by the devil. This years Grammys was full of big wins and even bigger fights.

The 2023 Grammys started off with not many people questioning the academy’s decisions, but as the night went on the tension rose. One of the most talked about awards was the album of the year. Everyone expected this award to go to Beyonce but as a shock, Harry Styles won.

This announcement led one person in the crowd of fans to yell Beyonce should’ve won. The biggest talk however was focused on the song of the year. From hit stars like Lizzo, Beyonce, Harry Styles, and Adele no one expected that Bonnie Raitt would beat them all with her song about the generosity of someone that donates their beloved’s organs to help another person live. Everyone at was shocked at the veteran female rocker’s win, but no one seemed more shocked than her.

One of the most uplifting parts of the evening was Beyonce earning the record for most Grammys won by a single artist. Even though when she won the award she wasn’t there, the host Trevor Noah made sure that she would get to shine in her light while holding her record-breaking award.

All of that love and support was then flipped to accusations and anger after Sam Smith and Kim Petras took the stage. Their performance of Unholy included cult-like robes, devil horns, and big flames.

These “demonic” visuals led to many speaking out on this situation. One of those who spoke out was Ted Cruz who posted four separate tweets about the performance saying things like “this…is…evil.”

Even though the show this year will leave some harsh topics for the rest of this year, everyone can’t wait to see the nominations and most of all winners for next year.
