During a relatively warm February 1st, seniors gathered within the Theater during their lunch periods to be informed of senior related events and opportunities. Most of the info given was about graduation.

“Graduation practice is one of those half days where you have finals and you cannot leave. We will then do a senior lunch, senior slideshow, and then put you all on a bus to where we will do our practice for graduation,” teacher Shelly Plumley said.

Many events are planned for seniors such as a senior lunch, luau, and trip. In order to help pay for these costly ventures students can sell “Donation Dots.”

“If a hundred people  sell these, it’ll raise $1000 for your class. On Tuesday I will be in the cafeteria, so you can sign up and pick up a card. All dots on a card are between $1-$3, and once you finish a card you will have collected $115 which you will return to me,” Plumley said.

The previous graduating class embarked on a senior trip to the beach in Corpus Christi, the destination for this year is still being decided on.

Fiesta Texas does a senior night where they log you in at 9 PM-3 AM and you have the park, DJs set up, dance parties, and rides open. Just a whole fun night for you there,” said Plumley.
