The San Marcos animal shelter is in dire need of assistance due to a critical shortage of space to accommodate the animals in their care. Individuals can contribute by adopting, donating, fostering, and spreading awareness about the shelter.
One of the shelter’s assistants said, “You’re right. We are incredibly full. Like many shelters across the country we’re working hard to get animals placed into adoption specials with community outreach.”
Two dogs also caught the attention of this reporter: Texas and Bradley.
Texas and Bradley are senior dogs who have been at the shelter for many years. Texas came into the shelter as a stray and was never given a chance at a forever home. Bradley was surrendered to the shelter due to improper care.
These loving senior dogs are well behaved and ready for their forever homes.
Every bit of help counts and anyone who would like to ask questions or help can visit sanmarcos.texas.gov. The shelter is located about 20 minutes south of Buda/Kyle.
