On Sunday night the New England Patriots will face the Los Angeles Rams in the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta for Super Bowl LIII. The big question at the moment is, will Tom Brady get his 6th Super Bowl win? Will Sean McVay be the youngest coach to win a Super Bowl title in history?

The Final Votes

Every year, a group of experts tally up their votes on who will come out victorious. Seventy-two experts voted and 45 of them said the patriots would win their 6th Super Bowl title win, tying them with the Pittsburgh Steelers for first place in the most Super Bowl wins. The remaining 27 experts said the Rams would win the game. When calculating the win ratios the New England Patriots had a 62.5% chance of wining and the Rams with a 37.5% chance of winning. The experts didn’t stop there. Their job isn’t to just predict who will win but what the score will be as well. Three of the experts had predicted for the Patriots to get the lowest score of 17 points while other had predicted acted the scores highest for the Patriots to be 38 points. The scores that were provided were very similar. When taking a closer look at the scores they all had a very common trend of having the score be a field goal (3 point) difference. The Patriots have proven their worth to everyone who has or hasn’t seen their games.

The Big Game Changer

In the last playoffs matches the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs, the Rams and the New Orlean Saints had gone into a shoot out (overtime) for who will be advancing to the Super Bowl. The game can go to the oldest of the old, or the newest of the new, with Tom Brady being the oldest starting quarterback and Jared Goff being a 24-year-old starting quarterback accompanied by what might be the youngest coach to win a Super Bowl title Sean McVay. The Patriots are a very strong team that are almost unstoppable but they have been know to mess up every now and then. Having the Pats mess up could change the game by allowing the Rams to secure their win by getting a few touchdown leads or by hurting their most valuable players and possibly destroying their game plan.

Will Tom Brady Retire?

Last year Tom Brady had announced that he would retire from the NFL only if he were to win Super Bowl 2019, but unfortunately the victory trophy was not carried out by the Pats but by the Philadelphia Eagles. Brady is a very passionate football player but by this time and this day and age the players are younger and everyday getting stronger. Questions that might be running through the minds of many people is “Will Tom Brady retire if he wins this next Super Bowl?” The question hasn’t been officially answered but is rumored by many. Not all hope has been lost until we see how the game plays out on February 3, 2019 at 5:30pm.

“I personally think that the Patriots are going win and most importantly Tom Brady will not retire from the NFL especially if he wins the upcoming Super Bowl. Tom Brady might not quit until either he gets hurt to the point to that he can’t play like Tony Romo, former starting Quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.” said Michael Boudin, Hays HS varsity football player.

“I honestly believe that the Pats are going to win the Super Bowl and Tom Brady will get another 5 year– maybe 6 year –contract. If the Patriots win there is a possibility that Tom might retire on a high streak, kind of like how Payton Manning ended his career when he had won the Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers,” said Jason Iwabuchi, Hays HS football player.
