According to ESPN analyst Adrian Wojnarowski All NBA Center Anthony Davis will play the rest of the NBA season with the New Orleans Pelicans. After several weeks of trade rumors between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Lakers Anthony Davis remains a Pelican. Davis and head coach Alvin Gentry discussed the outcome of Davis returning to the team for the remainder of the season.

The New Orleans Pelicans would turn down a loaded trade that included three starting members of the Los Angeles Lakers current roster. Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, and rising star point guard Lonzo Ball. The Lakers would include two more role players and two first round draft picks.

Anthony Davis remains with one year left on his contract this season and has informed the New Orleans Pelicans that he will leave in free agency after the 2019-2020 season. The Pelicans have thought about keeping Davis out of the line up to keep his high value but it’ll depend if a playoff run can be made.

Anthony Davis stock will rise between now and the end of next season. It’s an exciting time to be a Pelicans fan as key pieces could be added within the next few years.
