For months Disney has spoke briefly of it’s new streaming service. We knew nothing about it. It was assumed that Disney Now, a place for all disney channel shows, was the service but that couldn’t be further from the truth. A couple months later we learned it would include Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic but that list is ever expanding.

Well Disney hall just spilled the beans on the entire service at an investors meeting. Disney plus will have every single Disney, Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and National Geographic movies will be available. There will also be brand new shows and movies on the platform. Like Star Wars: The Mandalorians, Star Wars The Clone Wars Season Six, an Obi-wan show, A Rogue One prequel story, and many more to come. As for Marvel we have WandaVision, a Loki series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, a Hawkeye show, an animated Marvel What if? show, and a documentary over Earth 616 (the main Earth in the movies/ comics), and so many over different characters, and of course this all takes place in the MCU. Moon Knight, She hulk, Ms. Marvel, and so many more. Pixar will have original shows too: Monsters at Work, Forky asks a question, Lamp Life, Pixar Sparkshorts, and many more. And Disney themselves are also bringing new content to the table: A new Phineas and Ferb Movie, Book of enchantment, and they are remaking The Sword in the Stone, Peter Pan, and Lady and the Tramp in live action. As for the other stuff the highlights are a new muppet show and a high school musical documentary.

Now that is a ton that will make everyone happy. But Disney doesn’t stop there. because of their acquisition of FOX, the Simpsons is coming to the platform. FOX content will be slowly releasing because of complicated reasons with rights for a lot of their stuff.

One question many had is, what will happen to Hulu? For those who don’t know, it is a streaming platform owned by Disney that has a ton of content that Netflix doesn’t. Disney is determined to keep both up and running and may make bundles that would also include their (less talked about service) ESPN plus. Hulu has more adult oriented stuff along with a ton of shows Disney doesn’t have the rights to so it would be best for them to keep Hulu. It in currently unclear if Disney Now will be apart of this.

Now what does this mean for Disney’s competition, Apple TV Plus and Netflix? Well a ton of people will probably still have Netflix because of it’s originals and content that Disney could only dream to have. But this will no doubt hurt their sales. Now Apple TV Plus? HA! It had literally only one kinda interesting thing and that was about Sesame Street. It is going to flop like a Magikarp even if Disney Plus wasn’t a thing. I guess Disney is more of a plus than Apple could ever dream to be.

The service will be available on phones, tablets, computers, smart tvs, Apple Tv, Roku Tv, Xbox One, Playstation Four, and the Nintendo Switch. It will release this November. It is everything we have been wanting and so much more. Not only that there will be new stuff but every single Marvel, Disney, Pixar, and Star Wars movie will be in one place. Avengers Endgame will be on it for crying out loud! This service will be $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year! That is about the prices of Netflix and Hulu! Disney Plus will really add to our quality of life and change streaming service forever.
