With the school year coming to an end everyone is getting ready for prom 2019: Beauty and the Beast.

As of right now tickets are on sale for $50. Seniors are able to get there tickets April 22nd & 23rd. Juniors are able to get them April 24th & 25th with seniors, and April 26th, 29th and 30th.

Guests are able to get their tickets with juniors and seniors.

A pre-prom tradition is going out for a classy dinner. Luke Holsonbake, 12, listed his top choices.

“The Root Cellar in San Marcos; BJ’s Brewhouse located in New Braunfels, Hoppdoddy and Home Slice in Austin- all good places to hit before prom,” Holsonbake said.

These places are really popular so if you’re planning on going to them we suggest you get a reservation.

The prom itself is happening at the Texas State LBJ ballroom in San Marcos. The venue has a capacity of 1,040, so be prepared to be somewhat close to your peers. The event is set for 8p.m. to 12 a.m., and thus far the DJ is unknown. The music will range anywhere from Country, to EDM, to Hip-Hop. Activities will include photo booths and beverages.

Not only will the party be going on for four hours, after parties are standard as people bring the party to their house and or hotel. But even going home after prom is okay, just have fun and be safe on your last senior prom.
