Former Buda city hall to become arts center
August 29, 2019
What was once Buda City Hall will soon be filled with art.
Over the summer a fine arts group called Inspired Minds suggested that the old city hall should be turned into an arts center, and the move was approved by city council with a vote of 6-0.
In the art center there will be a theater for production and plays, an art gallery for art shows, and a three classrooms for classes.
The city hopes this new art center will stimulate business activity, draw in tourists and increase quality of life in the town.
The next closest art center is in downtown Austin, so this will be art closer to us and art lovers won’t have to travel as far.
