The long awaited new entry to the Animal Crossing series is finally here. After an approximate delay of four months, the game is finally here on March 20. At the time of writing this, the game is not out yet, it comes out over spring break, but when we come back it’ll be too late to write a review. So this will be an over view and a pre review of the game.

Unlike past entries, here you arrive on a deserted island where you must craft, build, and decorate your new island. There is so much you can do on your island. But the main goal of the game is to build your own town, the way you want it. You can terraform,  plant, design, there is so much to do. The other main appeal of the game are the villagers. They are all cute little anthropomorphic animals. They all have unique personalities and benefits to them. Their friendship can also be beneficial to you with the gifts they give. And we know that friendship is all about the gifts.

The game itself is just so gorgeous, just look at all this, it’s insane. It definitely feels like the kind of game you can get lost in for hours. The feature I’m most excited for is the online multiplayer. You and your friends (up to eight) can all join the same island and build together. I can only imagine the amount of fun it will be to play with all my friends. This game just looks like it is going to be so fun.

Animal Crossing New Horizons is definitely the game I’m most excited for this year. It just looks like a ton of fun and amazing time to spend with friends. You’ll definitely find me on release day for this game, along with everyone there for Doom Eternal.
