After a long year of hard work and perseverance from the yearbook staff, we are pleased to announce that the yearbook is finished. With a whopping 232 pages, our staff worked hard to cover the majority of the school year week by week. Although it was a daunting task, we managed to cover a large part of our student body as well. From the beginning to the end, we kept high spirits, and still enjoyed going to events to take photos.

We started our yearbook in late July, meeting together to discuss themes, coverage, and design. Originally designing the book was hard, as many of us had different ideas we wanted to incorporate into the book that didn’t all go together. After attending the Josten’s yearbook camp in August at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Austin, we solidified our theme, Go Beyond, and designed the cover for the book. From then on, we attended events, took photos, gathered quotes, and then made the pages.

At camp we saw many schools doing their hardest to make wonderful layouts and unique covers and we came to the conclusion of making our theme Go Beyond. With this theme we wanted to embody what we chose, hence why we decorated the cover with stars, so not just us, but our entire school, could go beyond their limits. Our yearbook staff went out of their way this year to go to many events and take pictures. We say that we’re so proud of everyone and that we grew extraordinarily as a team.

This year made tons of memories for us staff, good and bad. One of the many highlights of the year was Austin Foster always lightening the mood by breaking into dance, and occasionally tripping.

Another good memory is when we got ice cream from culinary next door. Many of us have grown bonds that otherwise wouldn’t have been made.

Make sure to get your yearbook soon, they’re preordered and at this time we are sold out- but you can put yourself on the waitlist at Jostens.com
