5 snacks to highlight the eclipse experience

The first full eclipse since 2017 is happening on April 8th, so here’s some snacks to put you anyone in a eclipse-mood and for you, your friends and family to enjoy while intriguing in such a awesome scenery.

1. Solar Eclipse Sun Chips

This could be the perfect snack to buy and enjoy while enjoying the solar eclipse because the word “Sun” is in it and it’s free.  Starting at 1:33 p.m. Central Time (2:33 p.m. ET/11:33 a.m. PT) on the website  https://www.sunchipssolareclipse.com/  you can win these chips during window of 4 minutes and 27 seconds.

2. Krispy Kreme Solar Eclipse Donuts

What’s better than a donut? Especially a donut that reminds you of the eclipse. These limited eclipse-themed donuts will be available starting Friday, April 5th through Monday, April 8th at any Krispy Kreme. This dozen concludes the original glazed donut- dipped in black chocolate icing, topped with sliver sprinkles, and filled with cookies and cream icing also topped Oreo on top to resemble the full moon.

3. Sonic’s Blackout Slush Float

If you love the idea of drinking a delicious slushy, while enjoying the eclipse. Head over to Sonic for the signature drink. This solar drink is available until May 5th and the best thing is it comes with eclipse glasses so that you can experience something so special. This drink blends cotton candy and dragon fruit flavors together, and is topped with ice cream and sprinkles to remind you of the night sky.

 

4. Moon pies

Moon Pies are a sweet snack that also echo the Solar Eclipse. Although the company making moon pies are coming out with a solar eclipse survival kit that you can buy online, and it comes with two pairs of solar glasses. Or you can simply go to any store and buy a single Moon Pie just to enjoy for those intriguing minutes in the path of totality. They come in many other flavors then chocolate including chocolate, vanilla, banana, strawberry, lemon, orange and caramel.

5. Pizza Hut

On Monday, April 8th, you can get any large pizza that’s either thin ‘n crispy, hand tossed pizza and original pan pizza for only $12, and customize it to your liking up with 10 toppings. If you have a big family that loves moon cycles and solar eclipses, or if you’re having a solar eclipse party this should be a steal for you.

While all the eclipse-themed food available may be a lot of calories to absorb, you’ll have until the next eclipse visible in 2045.
