Hawks started off winter break celebrating the holidays of Christmas and New Year’s. Many students visited different countries and states during their break, going to Colorado, Italy, Arkansas, and Utah. Other students went to places around Buda and Kyle, such as Bahama Bucks, Chick-fil-A, Chili’s, and Parks. Some students have jobs, so many of them were working during their break, earning as much money as they could for the New Year.
“When I was in Rome, I ate many foods that Italy had to offer. From pizza to pasta to seafood, you name it. That food was so good, I had pizza for breakfast for five days, but don’t get me started on that pasta. That pasta was amazing. The food was really good in Rome, and also the croissants were so fluffy and soft, I didn’t even know they could get that soft. The food was dope tho. I also saw the Colosseum and the Vatican, which was pretty amazing,” Jaiden Ties, 11, said.
“I went to the beach with my best friends for New Year’s… we watched fireworks on the beach and had a big fire… It was so relaxing to spend the break with my best friends at our favorite place,” Grace Mudd, 11, said.
“It was fun and exciting going to the mountains and trying something new and scary and getting out of my comfort zone,” Stephanie Rojo, 12, said.
